Dr. Ritch grew up in north Shreveport where he attended Trinity Heights Christian Academy K5 through twelfth grade. He finished his chemistry degree at Centenary College of Louisiana before attending medical school at Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport. He remained in Shreveport and did his pediatric internship and residency at LSU Health Sciences Center where he served as chief pediatric resident during his last year.
Dr. Ritch married Stacy D. Laffitte in 1996 at Trinity Heights Baptist Church where he was a member for 35 years. They later transferred their membership to Stacy’s home church of First Baptist Church of Bossier City with the birth of their first child in 1999. Since then, they have added three more children. He and his family love living in a wooded, tranquil area just outside Shreveport where they spend much of their outdoor time playing with their German shepherd. When not in the clinic, he enjoys fine dining with his wife, sailing the Caribbean and Bahamas with his family, and working with the media ministry at church. In addition to his usual clinic duties, he continues to teach medical students, residents, and other allied health students, and remains on faculty at LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics.
