Expecting a Baby? What to Do?
Our physicians at Mid City Pediatrics attend newborns at Willis Knighton Bossier, Willis Knighton Pierremont, Willis Knighton South, and Christus Highland Hospital. It’s crucial to have a pediatrician in mind before delivery. There’s no need to directly contact our office beforehand. Simply inform the labor and delivery nursing staff about your chosen pediatrician. They’ll reach out to our office, and we’ll conduct and examination of your newborn in the hospital. Our physicians make regular rounds on newborns during their hospital stay. Before discharge, your pediatrician will advise you on the follow up schedule at our office.
Please note that Mid City Pediatrics physicians do not attend newborns at Oschner Hospital. Newborns at Oschner’s are cared for by hospitalist/resident staff. They will provide guidance on follow-up visits at our office before discharge.
